History
POLONUS
was founded by Stanislaw Zawisza in Warsaw in 1933. The company
reached a monthly output of 1 million safety blades. During WWII
the machines were dismantled and secured. After the war
production was resumed but the factory was moved to Lodz. It
reached the pre-war output as early as in 1946. In 1949 the
factory was nationalized. In 1957 Zygmunt Zawisza - Stanislas'
son - started a new safety blade manufacturing factory. Jan
Krzysztof Zawisza - Zygmunt's son - joined the company in 1992.
Nowadays, the company produces safety blades and a wide range of
double-blade safety razors employing the most up-to-date
technologies of platinizing and coating blades with Teflon. We
produce several kinds of cosmetic and technical accessories. We
are the only company in Poland producing industrial blades to
particular orders.
